What information we collect
When you purchase or renew AmCEO, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and optional business name so we can deliver your license key, send receipts, and provide support. Payment card and mobile-money details are processed by Paystack — we do not store your full card numbers.
When you use the AmCEO application, your business data (customers, invoices, inventory, payroll, and similar records) is stored locally on your device by default, or in your own connected database if you enable Cloud Sync. That business data is not uploaded to AmCEO servers.
License validation and device binding
To enforce the one-device-per-license limit, AmCEO sends a device identifier (machineId, stored and compared in hashed or device-bound form) together with your license key when activating, validating, or deactivating a license, and when registering a free trial. This identifier is used to bind a license to one installed copy of AmCEO. It is not used to identify you personally and is not a substitute for your name or email.
Crash and error reporting
With your consent (enabled by default), AmCEO may send anonymous crash and error reports to amceo.app so we can find and fix bugs. A report may include: the error message, stack traces, app version, operating system information, deployment mode, a timestamp, and a hashed machine identifier (machineIdHash). Reports do not include your business records, customer lists, financial amounts, employee names, or your email address.
You can turn this off at any time in the AmCEO app (Settings → privacy / diagnostics toggle for error reporting). When opt-out is selected, crash reports are not sent.
How we use it
We use your information to verify and renew your license, deliver your license key, provide customer support, and improve the product. We send transactional emails related to your purchase, account, and licensing — including automated renewal reminder emails at key milestones (approximately 30, 14, and 7 days before expiry, and when the grace period starts).
Data storage
AmCEO is local-first. Your business data stays on your devices by default. If you connect your own Supabase (or equivalent) instance for Cloud Sync, you control that data. License records, optional crash reports, and related administration data for verification and support are stored on our secure license infrastructure at amceo.app.
Third parties
We use Paystack for payment processing. If you enable AI features in AmCEO, requests may be sent to Anthropic (Claude) according to your configuration. Live currency conversion for checkout and renewal quotes may use a third-party exchange-rate provider on our servers (amounts and currencies only — not your business ledger). We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
Your rights
You can export your business data from AmCEO at any time. You may disable crash reporting in Settings. You may request deletion of your license account records by contacting us. We will respond to requests within a reasonable timeframe.
